Just one of the signs that spring has sprung!

Unlike many fixed holidays on the calendar (think Halloween and Christmas), Easter is considered a moveable feast and can fall anywhere between March 22 and April 25, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. So how to know when Easter will be in a given year? The basic rule is that it falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox, which was on March 20 this year. Did you notice the recent full moon on March 28? That means the following Sunday (today) is Easter.

The tradition in Germany to decorate the branches of trees and bushes with eggs for Easter is centuries old, but its origins have been lost. The egg is an ancient symbol of life all over the world. Eggs are hung on branches of outdoor trees and bushes and on cut branches indoors.
